bisexual and once claimed to have been in love with fashion

Original Sin
Late nineteenth century Cuba. Dawn. At the docks, Luis (Antonio
Banderas) waits for his American mail-order bride. But, his wait seems
to be in vain. Then, magically, she appears--Julia (Angelina Jolie).
And, she is beautiful, unlike the woman whose picture she sent. But
Luis had lied as well--he wrote that he was only a clerk in the coffee
company that he actually owns. In spite of their deceptions, they marry
immediately. They are blissfully happy, although Julia has her demons.
She has nightmares, she ignores her sister's letters,
and--mysteriously--won't open her trunk. Her sister sends an unnerving
detective to check that she arrived. Still unsatisfied, her sister
arrives herself. That's when Julia disappears with the money in Luis's
bank accounts, instantaneously transforming Luis's dream into a
nightmare. Scriptwriter/director Michael Cristofer explores sexual
obsession and deception in ORIGINAL SIN.

chilling but moving portal of a women sucked in by success, fame
and drugs during the me generation. A most see movie! Angelina
Jolie is outstanding in her performance of Gia. She defiantly did
deserve the Emmy that year. With good source material (Stephen
Fried's A Thing of Beauty: The Tragedy of Supermodel Gia), Jolie's
stunning performance, and strong directing by Michael Cristofer,
the movie goes beyond the merely sensational. The script was
co-written byCristofer and novelist Jay McInerney, whose Bright
Lights, Big City covers similar territory. As a cautionary tale,
Gia works. But to watch Jolie in her character's tragic

Taking Lives
With superb investigative skills heightened by uncanny natural
instincts, Iliana Scott (Angelina Jolie) is not a typical FBI
profiler. This beautiful, no-nonsense Special Agent is a cut above
the rest, which is why her old friend Captain Le Claire (Tcheky
Karyo) calls her to assist his detectives in Montreal when a
brutalized body is discovered in a construction site. A murder the
next night provides proof of a serial killer, but this time, there
is a witness. Artist James Costa (Ethan Hawke) not only saw the
murder, but also tried to save the victim, and is even able to
provide a sketch of the killer. The plot only thickens as
ultra-dedicated Scott, along with ornery, territorial Detective
Paquette (Olivier Martinez) and good-natured Detective Duval
(Jean-Hughes Anglade), continue their investigation, linking
together numerous similar murders over the years and arriving at a
disturbing conclusion. To complicate matters even more, Scott is
drawn to their charming key witness, Costa, and finds herself in
uncomfortable territory as she fights her romantic impulses in an
effort to remain professional. |
